One of the top most prominent organizations that the UAE is using to destabilize other regimes is called the MAAT foundation for peace Development and human rights.
How is the UAE using a fake organization like MAAT for its benefit?
The UAE used MAAT to destabilize the regimes and fought the Arab spring revolutions, especially for the Egyptian revolution and the late president Mohammad Morsi.
As the UAE supported a rebellion movement in order to mobilize the Egyptian street against the legitimate president, it used MAAT in the human rights arena against him.
After the success of the coup against the revolution, MAAT supported Sisi and the military. In addition to that, they started publishing reports confirming the credibility and impartiality of the Sisi regime in the electoral process. A number of activists largely ridiculed these reports.
On the other hand, MAAT published reports trying to whitewash the image of the UAE and wash its reputation of corruption. They even assessed the file against corruption in the emirates with a score of 71, which is opposite to the truth.
UAE has been using the MAAT foundation for quite a long time to build its image and whiten its reputation. However, the reports have revalued the volume of suspicious amounts of money exceeding 90 billion dollars.

How is MAAT Foundation Fake?

In October last 2021, the MAAT foundation organized a fake event in front of the United Nations HQ in Geneva. Still, it failed miserably after the reluctance to participate and the lack of effective media coverage.
